It has been just under six weeks since writing my last blog, and although I wanted to have written a blog sooner, other things took priority. At first, I found this quite hard as I had set myself a goal of writing every two to three weeks, but then I soon realised, they were only my goals and no one else’s so it didn’t matter.
At times over the last few weeks, I felt like I had over-committed and applied too much unnecessary pressure on myself. Now I have finally completed everything I feel like I have accomplished something. I have also figured out that because of my natural energy, I am never going to be someone who can sit still for long and thrives on having goals and objectives to meet and exceed.
Currently sat on my balcony, it’s a perfect time to reflect on the last few months and look back at everything I have achieved. Even though the pandemic had put pay to most of the plans, I hoped that if at all possible I was going to make it out to Ibiza for the school holidays, something I have never previously been able to do. I also wanted to make sure that before I went, I had finished everything I needed to do at home and to complete my course, so when I came away, I could truly relax and not have anything hanging over me.
I managed to complete everything I needed to do at home including, finishing home-schooling, decluttering the house, sorting my office and getting everything prepared and ready for Alexia when she starts back at school in September (fingers crossed). In itself, this felt great as I know that when we return after the holidays, everything is ready, and I don’t have that weighing on my mind.
The other thing I was determined to finish before coming away was my coaching course, as then I knew I could relax. Before I came away, I did manage to complete the class learning for the final 2 Levels, became a Leading Energy Profile Licenced Practitioner, completed the off-course assignments for Level 2 and the required hours of actual coaching needed for the last accreditation.
What I hadn’t managed to get done before I came away was the off-course assignments for Level 3 and because of my instructor was on holiday, I couldn’t have my final assessment before I left. As I was still keen to get the course finished as soon as possible, and with a date set for my final assessment, I gave myself a new target of having the assignments completed before then.
I managed to get them completed and submitted last week, and yesterday I had my final assessment, so I have achieved everything I needed to for the final accreditation. Although my assignments haven’t been marked yet, just knowing I have completed everything is another weight lifted and goal achieved.
I have also learnt that because of my Leading Energy, I am always going to be this way. As much as I always thought I should be calm, I thrive on chaos, and that’s OK. I am never going to be able to sit still and do nothing, it’s not in my DNA, but I am going to make sure that I take time to reflect before moving on to something new.
So, I have set myself a new goal of not worrying about if I write another blog but enjoying the next few weeks in Ibiza. Sitting on my balcony, listening to the waves, watching the dolphins, enjoying the beautiful sunsets and reading but most importantly, spending quality time with my family and friends.
Well, for now anyway 😉.
